Favicon

The small icon shown in browser tabs, bookmarks and history next to your store's name. It helps shoppers find your store among many open tabs.

Where to find it: In the theme editor, click the gear icon (Theme settings) in the left sidebar, then open Favicon.

32 x 32px .png or .ico recommended.

Use a simple mark, not your full logo. At 32 × 32 pixels, words and fine details disappear. A single letter or symbol works best.
Upload a square PNG. The theme shows the image at 32 × 32 pixels, so a square image with a transparent background looks cleanest in both light and dark browser tabs.
It shows on the password page too. The same icon is used while your store is password protected.

Problem	Fix
I uploaded a new favicon but the old one still shows	Browsers keep favicons for a long time. Open the store in a private window, or clear your browser cache, to see the new one. Shoppers' browsers update on their own over time.
