Testimonials
Customer quotes as a grid or a continuous scroll, with an optional reviewer photo for each.

How to add the section
- From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes and click Customize on Sublime.
- Open the page you want to edit from the dropdown at the top of the editor.
- In the left sidebar, click Add section.
- Search for Testimonials and select it.
- Drag it into position, adjust the settings below, and click Save.
Section settings
Content
| Caption | Small label above the heading, used for eyebrow text like a category or a date. |
| Heading | The section title. Leave it empty to hide the heading row entirely and let the content start at the top. |
| Heading size | Picks one of the heading sizes defined in Theme settings → Typography, so headings stay consistent across sections instead of being sized one by one.
Choose Default (default), H1, H2, H3, H4, H5 or H6. |
| Description | Body copy shown under the heading. Supports bold, italic and links. |
| Text alignment | Aligns the heading and body text left, center or right.
Default: Left. |
| Button label | Text on the button. Leave it empty to hide the button. Two or three words reads best. |
| Button link | Where the button goes. A button with no link is not shown. |
| Open link in new tab | Opens the link in a new browser tab. Best kept for links that leave your store, so shoppers don't lose their place.

| Button style | Picks one of the button styles defined in Theme settings → Buttons: primary, secondary or tertiary.
Choose Primary (default), Secondary or Tertiary. |
| Button icon | Optional icon shown after the button label.

Layout
| Mode | Switches the section between its available display modes.
Choose Normal (default) or Gallery. |
| Scroll direction | Which way the content travels.
Choose Left or Right (default). Only appears when Mode is Gallery. |
| Scroll speed | How fast the content moves. Lower is slower.
1 is slowest, 10 is fastest. Adjustable from 1 to 10 (default 5). Only appears when Mode is Gallery. |
| Pause on hover | Stops the animation while the pointer is over the section.
On by default. Only appears when Mode is Gallery. |
Card style
| Content alignment | Aligns the text inside each card.
Default: Left. |
| Show reviewer image | Adds a photo panel to every card, using each testimonial's Reviewer image. Cards without an image show a placeholder, so add one to every testimonial.

| Desktop columns | How many items sit side by side on desktop.
Adjustable from 1 to 4 (default 3). Only appears when Mode is Normal and Show reviewer image is off. |
| Desktop columns | How many cards sit side by side on desktop when reviewer images are on. Image cards are wider, so the choice is one or two.
Choose 1 or 2 (default). Only appears when Mode is Normal and Show reviewer image is on. |
| Image position | Which side of the text the image sits on.
Choose Left (default) or Right. Only appears when Show reviewer image is on. |
Appearance
| Color scheme | Sets the background, text, border and button colors for the section. Schemes are defined once in Theme settings → Colors and reused everywhere, so changing a scheme updates every section using it. |
| Card color scheme | Color scheme for cards inside the section, so they can sit apart from the section background. |
Spacing
Top and bottom spacing for desktop, with optional separate values for mobile. These are the same controls on every section. See Settings every section shares.
Blocks
Blocks are the individual pieces inside the section. In the sidebar, click Add block under the section to add one, and drag blocks to reorder them. The order in the sidebar is the order on the page.

Content
| Quote | The quote itself. |
| Author | The reviewer's name, shown above the quote. A first name and initial or a city reads as genuine without oversharing. |
| Date | Shown exactly as you type it, such as March 2026 or Verified buyer. Leave empty to hide it. |
| Rating | Stars out of five, shown with the quote. Set it to 0 to hide the stars.
Adjustable from 0 to 5 (default 5). |
| Reviewer image | 200 x 200px .jpg recommended. |
Product
| Product | The product this block shows. |
Tips
- Use real, specific quotes. Fits true to size and washes well persuades more than Great product!
- Link a product to each testimonial so shoppers can go straight from the review to the product.
- If you turn on reviewer images, add one to every testimonial. Cards without an image show a placeholder.
- Use gallery mode for many short quotes and normal mode for a few longer ones.
Troubleshooting
The stars aren't showing
Stars only appear when Rating is 1 or more. A rating of 0 hides them.
Some cards show a gray placeholder picture
With Show reviewer image on, every card has a photo panel. Upload a Reviewer image to each testimonial, or turn the setting off.
Desktop columns only goes up to 2
That's the columns setting used when reviewer images are on, because image cards are wider. Turn Show reviewer image off for more columns.
