Blocks

Blocks are the individual pieces inside the section. In the sidebar, click Add block under the section to add one, and drag blocks to reorder them. The order in the sidebar is the order on the page.

Tips

  • Structure posts with H2 and H3 headings. The sidebar's table of contents is built from them, so a post written in plain paragraphs gets no contents list.
  • Blockquotes can double as pull quotes. With Highlight blockquotes in side panel on, quotes you add in the post editor are shown beside the text.
  • Pick a few evergreen posts for the sidebar's featured list; the same list shows on every post.

Troubleshooting

Comments aren't showing

Two switches must be on: Enable comments here, and comments for the blog itself in your admin (open the blog's settings under Blog posts → Manage blogs). If comments need approval, new ones appear only after you approve them.

The table of contents is empty

The post has no H2 or H3 headings. Edit the post and format your section titles as Heading 2 or Heading 3.

The featured posts list doesn't appear

It needs Enable blogs navigation on and at least one post chosen in Select articles.
