Password page

The page shown while the store is password protected.

Where to find it: In the theme editor, choose this template from the page dropdown at the top of the screen. Template file: templates/password.json.

Set it up

In your admin, go to Online Store → Preferences → Password protection and turn on Restrict access to visitors with the password.
Set the password, and optionally a message for visitors.
Design the page here; visitors can use the Enter using password link to get in.

Section settings

Content

Caption	Small label above the heading, used for eyebrow text like a category or a date.
Heading	The section title. Leave it empty to hide the heading row entirely and let the content start at the top.
Heading size	Picks one of the heading sizes defined in Theme settings → Typography, so headings stay consistent across sections instead of being sized one by one. Choose Default (default), H1, H2, H3, H4, H5 or H6.
Description	Body copy shown under the heading. Supports bold, italic and links.

Show newsletter signup

Adds an email field so visitors can sign up before you open. Addresses are saved as customers tagged "newsletter" and marked as subscribed to email marketing.

Show social media links

Add links to your social media accounts in theme settings.

On by default.

Logo

Image	Logo image for this item. 200 x 80px .png or .svg recommended.
Desktop width	How much of the row width the image takes. Adjustable from 50px to 300px (default 140px).
Mobile width	Image width on mobile. Adjustable from 50px to 300px (default 70px).

Appearance

Color scheme

Sets the background, text, border and button colors for the section. Schemes are defined once in Theme settings → Colors and reused everywhere, so changing a scheme updates every section using it.

Spacing

Top and bottom spacing for desktop, with optional separate values for mobile. These are the same controls on every section. See Settings every section shares.

Tips

Keep the newsletter on before launch. Signups become customers tagged "newsletter", ready for a launch email.
Remove the password when you're ready to launch, in the same Preferences screen.
