Default page
The default template for standard pages like About or Shipping.
Where to find it: In the theme editor, choose this template from the page dropdown at the top of the screen. Template file: templates/page.json.
Good for
- About, shipping, returns and other text pages
- Adding sections below the page text for images or FAQs
Section settings
Layout
| Content width | The widest the page text can grow on large screens. Narrower widths are easier to read for long policies; widen it for pages with tables or images.
Adjustable from 520px to 1400px (default 840px). |
Appearance
| Color scheme | Sets the background, text, border and button colors for the section. Schemes are defined once in Theme settings → Colors and reused everywhere, so changing a scheme updates every section using it. |
Spacing
Top and bottom spacing for desktop, with optional separate values for mobile. These are the same controls on every section. See Settings every section shares.
Tips
- Make an alternate page template for pages that need their own sections: in the theme editor's page dropdown choose Pages → Create template, then assign it to the page under Theme template in the admin.
- Use headings and tables in the page editor; they are styled to match the theme.
- Keep policy text in one place. Product accordions can show a page's content, so a Shipping page can feed every product.
