Shop Time Zone
- Local or Regional Business:
- Target Audience: If your store primarily serves a local or regional customer base within the same time zone.
- Example: A store based in New York serving customers mostly from New York and nearby states
- Uniform Promotion Management:
- Consistency: You want all customers to see the same end time for promotions, simplifying marketing and operational management.
- Example: A flash sale that ends exactly at midnight Eastern Time, regardless of where the customers are located.
- Marketing:
- You plan to communicate sale end times in your store’s time zone across marketing channels.
- Example: Emails, social media posts, and banners all state the sale ends at 11:59 PM PST.
User Local Time Zone
- Global Customer Base:
- Target Audience: Your store serves customers from multiple time zones around the world.
- Example: An e-commerce store with significant traffic from North America, Europe, and Asia.
- Personalized Experience:
- Customer Convenience: You want to provide a localized experience, making it clear to each user how much time they have left for the sale.
- Example: A sale that ends at midnight local time for each customer, ensuring they don’t have to calculate time differences.
- Avoiding Customer Confusion:
- Clarity: To prevent confusion and ensure customers know exactly when the sale ends in their own time zone.
- Example: Displaying "Sale ends in 2 hours" means exactly 2 hours for each customer, no matter where they are.
